1. Overview

Welcome to QuietLine.
QuietLine is a calm-tech application designed to help users pause, breathe, and reset through short, self-guided experiences.
QuietLine is owned and operated by Mark Christian Calugay (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By downloading, accessing, or using QuietLine, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
QuietLine is not a medical device, not therapy, and not a substitute for professional care.
If you are in immediate distress or considering self-harm, contact your local emergency services or call 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).


2. Eligibility

QuietLine is intended for adults aged 18 and older.
You may not use QuietLine if:

  • You are under 13 years of age
  • You are under 18 without legal capacity to agree to these Terms
  • Your local laws prohibit the use of wellness or mental-health-adjacent applications

By using QuietLine, you confirm that you meet these requirements.


3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use QuietLine only for lawful, personal wellness purposes.
You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app
  • Circumvent security, access controls, or feature restrictions
  • Use QuietLine for harmful, abusive, hateful, or illegal activity
  • Misrepresent QuietLine as medical treatment or professional advice

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.


4. No Medical or Emergency Services

QuietLine provides self-guided wellness experiences only.

  • QuietLine does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • QuietLine does not employ licensed clinicians
  • Nothing in the app should be interpreted as therapy or medical care

Always seek qualified professionals for medical or mental health concerns.


5. Privacy & Data

Your privacy matters.
QuietLine:

  • Does not require accounts
  • Does not collect analytics for tracking or advertising
  • Stores user data locally on the device when applicable
  • Does not sell personal information

Our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.


6. Features and Availability

QuietLine is provided on an “as available” basis.
We may:

  • Update, modify, or discontinue features
  • Release new experiences or retire old ones
  • Temporarily limit access for maintenance or security

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or future feature inclusion.


7. Intellectual Property

All QuietLine content — including the app design, text, visuals, animations, audio, branding, and code — is owned by Mark Christian Calugay.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use QuietLine for personal use only.
You may not copy, distribute, sell, or modify any part of QuietLine without written permission.


8. Disclaimers

QuietLine is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We make no guarantees that:

  • QuietLine will meet your personal expectations
  • Use of the app will improve mental health outcomes
  • The app will be error-free or uninterrupted

QuietLine is a supportive tool, not a guarantee of results.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mark Christian Calugay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of QuietLine.
This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Emotional distress
  • Loss of data
  • Service interruptions

If paid features are introduced, total liability will not exceed the amount paid for those features.


10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.
When changes are made:

  • The “Last updated” date will be revised
  • The updated Terms will be posted on our website

Continued use of QuietLine after changes means you accept the updated Terms.


11. Termination

You may stop using QuietLine at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe these Terms have been violated or the app is misused.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes will be handled in courts located in Savannah, Georgia.
